We redesigned the Kings Dominion Fan Site, a fan website for Kings Dominion, for the park’s 40th anniversary season in 2014.
KDFansite was one of the first and largest fansites in the Coaster Crew Network. We helped it serve a larger base of users and adapt to changing technology. The original site was fixed-width, designed to only work on desktop computers.
When it goes live, the new KDFansite (shown here in beta) will help a wider range of users connect with the park and invite them to celebrate the park’s 40th anniversary season with The Coaster Crew.
Usability experts estimate that if 10% of a project’s budget is spent on improving usability, the average improvement on key performance indicators is 83%. We perform in-depth usability evaluations of your site, learning more about your users so that we can understand not only the tasks they want to accomplish but also the different kinds of goals they have for being there.
Our user-centered design process begins by understanding what your users are like, what goals the site needs to help them achieve, and what pain points the site needs to help them avoid. We keep a user-centered perspective throughout our design and development efforts by involving users who match your target users in every step of our design process.
This site and every other site in our portfolio are responsive; they change how they look depending on your device so that our users spend more time interacting with your brand on any device they use for learning more about it.
